Sprout Scouts Trip

International (Conducted in English)

Location: Bang Krachao — approx. 30–45 minutes from central Bangkok

Join a farm day adventure to follow your food’s journey, learn life skills, and make some fun memories.

About the Trip

Sprout Scouts is a hands-on farm adventure where students dig into the real journey of food, from soil to plate.

Students will learn practical life skills such as growing vegetables, composting, and understanding how food waste supports the farm’s ecosystem, all while gaining an appreciation for farmers, the environment, and the value of food.

They’ll rotate through stations with earthworms, bees, chickens, ducks, and mushroom cultivation, seeing how each part of the farm contributes to a healthy ecosystem. Students will also practice mindfulness exercises that help them stay present and connect with their surroundings, skills that are especially important for today’s youth.

Each student will plant their own seedling to take home and care for, and leave with a new sense of responsibility as a young steward of the Earth.

The trip empowers kids to think critically about sustainability, make healthier choices, and become future leaders who care about people and the planet.

Key Takeaways for Students

The field trip supports educational goals in school curriculums:

  • Practical Life Skills: Students grow vegetables, plant their own seedlings, learn about the contribution of farm animals, identify sustainable food options, all of which gives them hands-on skills they can apply beyond the farm.
  • Environmental Awareness: Students explore soil, waste cycles, and farm ecosystems, seeing how sustainable food systems work and understanding how their choices impact the environment.
  • Critical Thinking & Responsibility: Students develop critical thinking skills through observation, hands-on experiences, interactive quizzes, and reflective exercises.
  • Empowerment & Stewardship: Through planting and tending their own seedlings, observing animals, and exploring the farm ecosystem, students see how small actions affect the environment, understand the work involved in producing food, and experience the results of responsible choices firsthand.
